Our Vision
This vision was born out of the leaders’ profound appreciation for the indispensable role the media plays in promoting development, transparency, accountability, and community engagement within Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality. Acknowledging the media as a vital partner in governance and nation-building, the Assembly instituted a media awards scheme which launched in November 2025 to honour excellence, professionalism, commitment, and impactful journalism within the municipality.
The initiative seeks to celebrate journalists, broadcasters, presenters, bloggers and media organizations whose dedication continues to shape public discourse, educate the citizenry, promote local governance initiatives, and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the municipality. The awards scheme also serves as a platform to motivate media practitioners to uphold high ethical standards, professionalism, and responsible reportage in the discharge of their duties.
Through this initiative, the leadership of the municipality reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong and productive relationship with the media fraternity while appreciating the critical role the media continues to play in amplifying the voices and aspirations of the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem.
